The Grand Flieger is Tutima's current reedition of the pilots chronograph the company built in the 1940s. The Airport Automatic takes that case without the chronograph: stainless steel, 41mm across and 13mm deep, water resistant to twenty atmospheres, the crown screwed down and the back glazed in sapphire. A domed anti-reflective sapphire covers the dial, and the fluted ceramic bezel turns in one direction only, carrying a luminous marker so an elapsed interval can be read at a glance. Inside is the self-winding Caliber Tutima 330, its rotor rhodanized and sealed in gold, running thirty-eight hours from full wind and driving the date and a day of the week indicator.
The dial is black with luminous indices, read against a red reference marker on the bezel. On a textile strap over leather with a folding clasp.
